Betadine Vaginal Gel 100G

The 10% w/v Povidone-Iodine (PVP-I) in Betadine® Vaginal Gel releases free iodine continuously, allowing skin and mucous membranes to maintain an efficient concentration for bacterial removal.  This gel is recommended for the treatment of both acute and chronic infections, such as vaginitis and vulvo-vaginitis, however it is mostly used for gynecological vaginal infections.  It works well against trichomonal infections, Candida albicans-caused fungal infections, and mixed and nonspecific infections including Gardnerella vaginalis and bacterial vaginosis.  It is also helpful in controlling issues that may occur following antibiotic or steroid medication, and it disinfects the vagina both before and after surgical procedures.
