One medication used to treat diarrhea is called Hidrasec.  For children older than three months, Hidrasec is used to treat the symptoms of acute diarrhea.  When the typical dietary measures and a large fluid intake are insufficient to manage the diarrhea and when the diarrhea cannot be treated causally, it should be taken in conjunction with these measures.
