Color contact lenses were flexible and provided adequate oxygen to the eyes.  Another significant consideration was comfort.  We sought to create lenses that were not only exceptionally comfortable, but also could resist the harsh Gulf region climate.  The contact lenses would have to withstand the same circumstances that the eyes are routinely exposed to, such as air conditioning, high temperatures, and humidity.  We wanted it to seem like the sky: clear and lovely to look at, and you wouldn't notice it while going about your day.
