Brufen is a member of the class of medications known as anti-inflammatory pain relievers.  Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis or Still's disease), arthritis of the spine, ankylosing spondylitis, swollen joints, frozen shoulder, bursitis, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, lower back pain, sprains, and strains are among the conditions for which they can be used to reduce pain and inflammation.  Other painful disorders like toothache, post-operative pain, menstrual pain, and headaches, especially migraines, can also be treated with it.
